The Blue Lakes Trail is one of the most popular day-hiking destinations in the San Juans, and for good reason.
This place is scenery overload!
Ironically, on our particular visit, none of the lakes were actually “blue” in color. The lower lake was bluish-green, the middle lake was a deep emerald green, and the upper lake was beautifully crystal clear, along with some floating icebergs.
